Berthe Morisot
(1841 – 1895)
overview expositions
Where and when did Morisot show his art-works?
On this page you will find an overview of when and where Berthe Morisot showed her art-works. We will start with the works she showed at regional exhibitions, the Salon and the ‘impressionist’ expositions. After the ‘impressionist’ expositions Berthe Morisot join not many exhibitions. There were solo exhibitions at Georges Petit (1882) and Boussod & Valadon (1896). Furthermore she joined exhibitions at the Exposition International de peinture et de sculpture (1882), in New York (1886), at Les XX (1887), in Anvers (1893) and at La Libre Esthétique (1894). After her death in 1896 there were retrospectives at Durand-Ruel (1896) and at the Salon d’Automne (1907).
This page has just been started, but I hope that in the future it also renders an overview of the works she has made.

Berthe Morisot showed the 4th largest number of art-works, namely 107. She was the most important female partaker.
Berthe Morisot showed 9+1hc=10 works at the 1st ‘impressionist’ exposition 1874, including 3 watercolours and 3 pastels (=1IE-1874).
She Morisot showed 19 works at the 2nd ‘impressionist’ exposition 1876, including 3 watercolours and 3 drawings/pastels (=2IE-1876).

She showed 7+1hc=8 works at the 6th ‘impressionist’ exposition 1881, including probably 5 pastels (=6IE-1881).
Morisot probably showed 9+4hc=13 works at the 7th ‘impressionist’ exposition 1882, including 3 pastels (=7IE-1882).
Berthe Morisot showed about 29 works at the 8th ‘impressionist’ exposition 1886, including several pastels, drawings, watercolours and fans (=8IE-1886).
