Impressionism, a historical reconstruction:

Lucien Pissarro

(1863-1944)

At the 8th ‘impressionist’ exposition in 1886

an impression of his exhibited art-works

Introduction:
On this page you will find an accounted impression of the 32 art-works that Lucien Pissarro exhibited at the 8th ‘impressionist’ exposition in 1886 (=8IE-1886; catalogue numbers 114-123), including 5 oil paintings, 13 watercolours and 14 woodcut engravings. Most works were illustrations for 3 different projects. I render the pictures by form and thematical. Note: If you double click on the first (of a cluster of) pictures and then click on full screen, you can create a slideshow. Enjoy!

Clarification:
For no.115 I have no suggestion. For no. 117-121 I mostly show other works (also of his father Camille) to compare. Of most of the watercolours exhibited under no.116 I only have black and white pictures. See link for the identification of the paintings. See for more info the account. See link for info on the subscriptions. For info on the used sources see at the bottom of the main page about Lucien Pissarro.
