Gauguin 1882 expo

Impressionism, a historical reconstruction:

Paul Gauguin

(1848-1903)

at the 7th impressionist exposition in 1882

an impression of his exhibited art-works

Introduction:
On this page you will find an impression of the 13 art-works that Paul Gauguin exhibited at the 7th ‘impressionist’ exposition in 1882 (catalogue numbers 18-30). Gauguin exhibited 11 paintings, including 4 still-lifes and 1 pastel and 1 sculpture. Some suggestions are (quite) certain, others (quite) uncertain. Sometimes I render more than one options. Sometimes one work is an option for more than one catalogue number. See link for the identification of the paintings.  See for more info the account. See link for info on the subscriptions. For info on the used sources see at the bottom of the main page about Gauguin. I render the pictures by form and in thematical order. Note: If you double click on the first (of a cluster of) pictures and then click on full screen, you can create a slideshow. Enjoy!
