Vignon, solo expos

Impressionism: a historical reconstruction

Victor Vignon (1847-1909)

at (solo) exhibitions

Introduction:
On this page you will find an impression of works of Vignon that were shown at other exhibitions, especially at the solo exhibitions of 1894 at Bernheim-Jeune (=BJ1894), the posthumous exhibitions in 1921 at Bernheim-Jeune (=BJ1921), in 1927 at the Galerie Jacques Callot (=JC1927) and in 1938 at the art-dealer Huinck & Scherjon in Amsterdam (=H&S1938). I will render the pictures more thematically and by form. My suggestions are based on title, theme and if available signature, dimensions, date, description and suggestions made in sources. Most suggestions are more or less uncertain (=? / =?? / =???), sometimes the suggestions are sure (=) or almost sure (=!?). I will also indicate if a work was maybe part of an auction sale of old private collections. Sometimes I render more than one option. Several works are interchangeable, see also the thematical overview and the topographical overview. See for more info the account. See link for info on the subscriptions. For info on the used sources see at the bottom of the main page about Vignon. Note: If you double click on the first (of a cluster of) pictures and then click on full screen, you can create a slideshow. Anyway I hope that this page gives you an impression of what works Victor Vignon made. Enjoy!
