Jean-Baptiste Millet pictures

Impressionism, a historical reconstruction:

Jean-Baptiste Millet

(1831-1906)

An overview of his pictures

Introduction:
What pictures are known of Jean-Baptiste Millet? What pictures did he exhibit at the 2nd ‘impressionist’ exposition and at the Salon? On this page you will find an overview of the pictures I could find of Jean-Baptiste Millet. There are not many, many are in black-and-white and many have a poor quality. I also try to give an impression of what works Millet did exhibit at the 2nd ‘impressionist’ exposition in 1876 and at the Salon. Most suggestions are just to compare. See link for an account. See link for an explanation of the subscription. For the sources see at the bottom of the mainpage about Jean-Baptiste Millet. Note: If you double click on the first picture and then click on full screen, you can create a slideshow. Enjoy!
