Monet, other themes and techniques

Impressionism, a historical reconstruction:

Claude Monet

(1840-1926)

other themes and techniques

Intro:
Claude Monet was namely a landscapist. This is obvious on the page with an overview of his paintings used on this website.
On this page you will find oil paintings in which he rendered other themes. First portraits and figure paintings, then figures in a landscape and then still lifes. There will be references to the Catalogue Raisonné of Wildenstein of 1996 (=R22).
You will also find art-works done in other techniques, namely pastels. 7 of them he showed at the 1st ‘impressionist’ exposition in 1874. But apart from that he did not (or rarely) exhibit works done in other techniques.
The works will be shown in a chronological order.
See also the subscriptions of the pictures.
Note: If you double click on the first (of a cluster of) pictures and then click on full screen, you can create a slideshow. Enjoy!
Note: this page has just been started, additional pictures will be added, namely made after 1882 and done in other techniques.
