at the impressionist expositions
in 1880 + 1879-hc
an impression of his exhibited art-works
Introduction: On this page you will find an impression of the 7 paintings and 1 sculpture that Paul Gauguin exhibited at the 5th ‘impressionist’ exposition in 1880 (catalogue numbers 55-62) and of the sculpture he exhibited outside the catalogue in 1879 at the 4th ‘impressionist’ exposition. There were not many reviews and even less descriptions of the exhibited works, this makes identification of the art-works (very) uncertain, see. So for some numbers I render several uncertain options. See for more info the account. See link for info on the subscriptions. For info on the used sources see at the bottom of the main page about Gauguin. I render the pictures by form and in thematical order. Note: If you double click on the first (of a cluster of) pictures and then click on full screen, you can create a slideshow. Enjoy!
