Who were the partakers of the 1st ‘impressionist’ exposition?
There were 31 partakers in the 1st ‘impressionist’ exposition in 1874. Many of them are now quite forgotten. 15 of them would not join one of the other 7 ‘impressionist’ expositions. So, about half of all the partakers. (Note: 1 partaker was not in the catalogue=hc.) Probably Cals (no.141+hc↑) showed a self-portrait and maybe Félix Bracquemond also (no.23↑)

On this page you will also find the catalogue numbers, links to info an the artists, an accounted impression of the exhibited art-works, an account and sometimes a (topographical / thematical) overview.
See also the links for the full 1874 catalogue, a slideshow and general info on the 1st ‘impressionist’ exposition.
Explanation: hc = hors catalogue = outside the catalogue.
My main sources are Moffett, 1986 (=R2,p118-123), Berson, 1996 (=R90I,p3-8), Dayez / Adhémar, 1974 (=R87), the Salon database of musée d’Orsay (=iR1) and the sources mentioned in the accounts.
