Impressionism, a historical reconstruction:

8 ‘impressionist’ expositions

1874 – 1886

birth and death partakers

Introduction:
There were 56+2hc-1=57 partakers of the 8 ‘impressionist’ expositions in Paris from 1874 – 1886. When were they born? When did they depart?
You will find 2 overviews on this page. Adolphe-Félix Cals was the oldest being born in 1810. You will see that many important partakers were born around 1840, like Claude Monet. You will also see that some partakers died before 1886. Ludovic Piette and Adolphe-Félix Cals were honoured with a posthumous exhibition. Paul Signac and Lucien Pissarro were born as last (in 1863) and died as last (1935 and 1944). Jean-Marius Raffaëlli died as youngest, being just 22 years old. Armand Guillaumin and Claude Monet became the oldest, dying when they were 86 years old.
When the date of birth or death is uncertain an (?) will be added.

Overview years of birth:
Here below you wil find an overview of the years of birth of the partakers of the 8 ‘impressionist’ expositions. The links will lead you to the main pages on these artists with general information. There you often will see that the exact date is often disputed, therefore I will only render the years of birth. I will give the official name of birth, sometimes added with the more known name. When the year of birth is unsure an (?) will be added. Of two partakers the year of birth is unknown: Comtesse de Luchaire; Jacques François, who probably is the same as Comtesse de Rambure.
