Highly awarded art-works: (In the future) you will find some paintings that were highly rewarded at the Salon of 1875*, that can be seen as the standard of art. Note*: works that received a medal of honor, works that received a golden medal, were (assigned and) purchased by the state; of artists that later that year were appointed in the Légion d’Honneur as Officier or higher.
