Who were the partakers of the 5th ‘impressionist’ exposition?
There were 19 partakers in the 5th ‘impressionist’ exposition in 1880. Four of them were newcomers. One of them was Jean-François Raffaëlli, who would later cause division. Another was Victor Vignon who would join all last 4 ‘impressionist’ expositions and was a great, but forgotten Impressionist. Mary Cassatt was portrayed by Degas (no.44) and Guillaumin by himself (no.72). After the exposition 4 partakers would not return anymore to the ‘impressionist’ expositions. Caillebotte would only return in 1882.

On this page you will find the 232 catalogue numbers, links to info, pictures, an account and sometimes a (topographical / thematical) overview.
