An impression of his art-works

at the Salon

and other exhibitions

Introduction:
On this page you will find an impression of some of the art-works  that Joseph (better known as Giuseppe) de Nittis exhibited at the Salon (=S) from 1869-79, it’s successor the Salon de la Société des Artistes Français in 1884 (=SdAF-1884), the Exposition Universelle in 1878 (=EU1878), at the Exposition Internationales de peinture (et de sculpture) (=EIP) at Georges Petit (=GP) and at other exhibitions. Some of these works were also shown at the 1st ‘impressionist’ exposition and/or at posthumous expositions. I render the pictures by form and chronological when (first) exhibited. Several suggestions are (very) uncertain or just to compare. See the link for an account. See link for an explanation of the subscriptions and the used sources below at the main page about Giuseppe de Nittis.
