The Salon SdAF of 1881, short info:
The Salon (de la Société des Artistes Français) of 1881 (the 98th) started the 2nd of May in the Palais des Champs-Elysées in Paris (iR4;iR3). The catalogue mentions 3902 partakers and 4982 numbers (iR1).
Several partakers of the ‘impressionist’ expositions did show art-works↓: Boudin received a 3rd class medal; Renoir showed 2 portraits.
Pre-impressionists that joined were namely:
Para-impressionists that joined were namely: Puvis de Chavannes. Manet received a 2nd class medal and later that year was appointed Chevalier in the Légion d’Honneur.

Exhibited art-works by the ‘impressionist’:
17 of the 57 partakers of the ‘impressionist’ expositions showed about 35 art-works at the Salon de la Société des Artistes Français (=SdAF) of  1881. Including Astruc (1sc); Attendu (2x); Béliard (2x); Boudin (1x); Bracquemond (2 engravings)↑, Colin (1x); Debras (2x +1dr); Desboutin (2x +2 engravings); Franc Lamy (1x); Latouche (2x); Lepic (2x); Meyer (2 enamel); Léon Ottin (7wc); Renoir (2x); Robert (1x); Schuffenecker (1x); Somm (1 engraving).
Boudin received a 3rd class medal; Félix Bracquemond a 1st class medal (for engraving)↑.
The art-works will be rendered by form and than alphabettically; first the paintings will be shown and than the other art-works. Note: several suggestions are uncertain; for many works I don’t have a suggestion.

Here below you will find some art-works (mainly paintings) of some other artists that were exhibited at the Salon de la Société des Artistes Français (=SdAF) of  1881. You will find them by form and in an alphabetical order. This will not give you an overall impression (that is outside the scope of this website). Namely works of pre-impressionist, para-impressionist and other related artitsts will be shown. Namely the following artists showed paintings: Manet; Puvis de Chavannes.
