The Salon (de la Société des Artistes Français) of 1883 (the 100th) started the 1st of May in the Palais des Champs-Elysées in Paris (iR4;iR3). The catalogue mentions 4001 partakers and 4976 numbers (iR1).
Several partakers of the ‘impressionist’ expositions did show art-works↓: Astruc showed namely his famous marchand de masques.

Some art-works were rejected for the Salon de la Société des Artistes Français (=SdAF) of 1883. Namely works of Cézanne, Jean-François Raffaëlli and Schuffenecker were rejected. And also a drawing of Seurat was rejected, of which I render two uncertain options.
