On this page you will find (at the bottom of the page) short information on the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts (=SNBA) of 1901-1914. But first you will find some paintings and than some other art-works that were exhibited. Extra attention is given to the partakers of the ‘impressionist’ expositions and related artists.

Exhibited art-works by the ‘impressionist’:
4* of the 57 partakers of the ‘impressionist’ expositions regularly exhibited at the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts (=SNBA) from 1901 – 1914. Namely: ColinLebourgJ.F. Raffaëlli; and Vidal. 3 others joined just one or two times: Alfred Meyer in 1901; Desboutin in 1901 + 1902; Félix Bracquemond in 1907 (a large retrospective).

I will render the pictures by form, alphabetically per artist and chronological of when exhibited. Note: several suggestions are uncertain or just to compare; sometimes I render more than one option; for many works I don’t have a suggestion.

You will find them by form and in an alphabetical order. This will not give you an overall impression (that is outside the scope of this website). The Salon SNBA of 1901-1914, short info:
The Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts (=SNBA) of 1901-1914 were held in the Grand Palais des Champs-Elysées in Paris. (Note: in 1900 there had not been a Salon SNBA because of the Exposition Universelle. The average amount of partakers was 1142 showing 2602 catalogue numbers. This Salon had a jury, but awarded no medals.
The catalogue mentions the following numbers of partakers and catalogue numbers (iR1):
1901: 862 partakers showing 1967 works. Note: relatively low numbers.
1902: 1087 partakers showing 2519 works.
1903: 1153 partakers showing 2760 works. Note: in this year the Salon d’Automne started.
1904: 1066 partakers showing 2617 works.
1905: 1015 partakers showing 2426 works.
1906: 1177 partakers showing 2524 works.
1907: 1245 partakers showing 2720 works.
1908: 1207 partakers showing 2632 works.
1909: 1220 partakers showing 2700 works.
1910: 1122 partakers showing 2651 works.
1911: 1163 partakers showing 2665 works.
1912: 1206 partakers showing 2789 works.
1913: 1195 partakers showing 2678 works.
1914: 1271 partakers showing 2777 works.
