2nd exhibition in Brussels

 

Introduction:
In 1885 the 2nd exhibition of Les XX (les vingts) was held in Brussels. On this page you will find short information and some of the art-works that were exhibited by Les Vingtistes and the invited artists, namely also the partakers of the ‘impressionist’ expositions. 1885 (=2XX-1885):
2nd exhibition, with 37 participants showing 168.
The following ‘impressionist’ partakers were present: Félix Bracquemond (showing 6 works), Jean-François Raffaëlli (5 works).
Other participants were: Jean-Charles Cazin, Henri Fatin-Latour and Jan Toorop. Théo van Rysselberghe showed 5 pictures, including 3 of Marocco.
