Impressionism, a historical reconstruction:
Paul Signac
(1863-1935)
at the Salon des Indépendants
1884 – 1936
Introduction:
On this page you will find an impression of the paintings that Paul Signac exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants from 1884 till 1836. Paul Signac exhibited from 1884-1935 at the Salon des Indépendants and also 1884/05 at the predecessor the Groupe des Indépendants and in 1936 there was a posthumous exhibitions. I will render the pictures by form and chronological and only the suggestions that are (quite) certain. I this way I also want to render an impression of what paintings he made and exhibited through the years. Many of these works he also exhibited at Les XX (=XX) and it’s successor La Libre Esthétique (=LE) in Brussels. Several of these works were also shown at solo exhibitions at Bernheim-Jeune (=BJ) in 1907 + 23 +30 and in the Petit Palais (=PP) in 1934). Some of them were also shown in Ansver at the exhibitions of l’Art pour Art (=Ansver ApA) and at the Expositions Impressionnistes et Symbolistes in Paris (=EIS).

See for the other sources at the bottom of the main page on Paul Signac. Note: If you double click on the first picture and then click on full screen, you can create a slideshow. Enjoy!
